Häglunds BV 206
| Adapted from the BV206 "Snow Cat"
three of these all terrain vehicles were built for the Falkland Islands
and at the time of writing are based at MPA Fire Section. The rear
car has an AFFF system similar to those on TACR's as well as hydraulic
rescue equipment. In addition to its impressive cross country
capability, it can also be underslung beneath a Chinook Helicopter for
deployment to fires on remote sites - an infinitely better solution than
a 90ltr foam extinguisher. |
